Weekend Warriors

G & I had to work this weekend, and I was sick, but that doesn't stop us from having fun.... There's nothing better than the weekend!

I could eat this girl up.

Somehow we landed the best tball schedule ever. All of our games are on Mondays & Fridays. So you start your weekend off right with the camaraderie of friends & fun.

Special friends & family came to see the kids play!

Saturday we had another birthday party at Alhambra Hall. One of Charleston's "hidden gems"......we never tire of going there!

I love this boy- he's growing up TOO fast!

The other day I could see he had a little pep in his step, so I asked him what was going on:

Me: what are you smiling about?
Judah: I feel like I'm 18 years old!
Me: why's that?
Judah: cause I feel SO COOL!
Me: that's awesome, why do you feel SO COOL?
Judah: because of my bracelet!

(his red rubber bracelet that his teacher gave him. Ahh, it's the little things)

Look at the adorable birthday girl!

Guillermo can't help but snuggle Vanna.

I should get all Jillian Michaels on the kids and yell for them to pump major iron on the monkey bars! ;)

Quinn didn't think he could jump up and grab onto the bar. This is the delight on his face when I made him try & he got it.

We washed the dog & a bunch of outdoor stuff, can you tell it still was a little chilly to be sprayed by the hose?

Quinn wanted to wear his boots with his shorts. Hey, at least it's not socks with sandals!

And of course Judah had to rock G's Clemson hat with his outfit, complete with the sticker still on the bill (Oh, Guillermo)......

This is Viviana's "don't tell me NO and I'm mad at you for not letting me do what I wanna do" face. I'm sure I'll see this face 67,316 more times by the time she's 18.

James & Elizabeth came with us to one of our fav places on Sunday, the flea market.  Extra fun for the kids - cute little bunnies & ducks!

Super impressed with James's "air" on the trampoline.

And can you believe after all these years of saying James'  I just realized from a college English professor it's James's (the horror, it looks SO WRONG).

The boys both got magic marker tattoos from Uncle James. I'm 100% sure they are more excited about these tattoos than $100 worth of toys I could've bought them.

If Judah's bracelet made him feel 18 year old cool, no doubt his cobra tattoo made him feel 35 year old cool (hee hee).....

Hippity Hop!

We've just been a TAD bit excited over here for the wonderful weather & spring activities!

This is her "please stop taking my picture face".....

We went to Hanahan's Family Fun day over the weekend & had a blast! Local churches put on a great day with jump castles, easter egg hunts & more!

The biggest sadness for me was saying no to LOTS of homemade treats in bake sale after bake sale!  BOO for diets.

Bell-ay!

She was so proud of her face painting!

Can you tell Judah & Quinn feel like cool kids with their face paint?

This boys is so much like his mama, so INTENSE when it comes to fun games!

The Easter egg hunt might as well have been an Olympic event!

Can you tell how proud Viviana was hoarding her stash?

And the best part was, there were only a few candies in each egg, they were limited to five and I think half got lost between there & home so NO temptation for moms & dads after their kids go to bed! LOL

Play Ball & Viviana's Big Girl Room.

This weekend was the baseball/softball open for the 2014 Hanahan Rec Ball.  If you're like me and know nothing about sports, that means you stop practicing & now play real games.

Woohoo!

I chose to not move Judah up to the 7 year old league (he's only 6, so I'd only moved him up to be with better players)  so for one season he & Quinn could be on the same team. It's SO nice to only go to one game/practice!

Here are my little Raptors. Or the Rappers as Quinn called them for the first 3 weeks cause it was hard for him to say RapTors. Lol.

I love the Viv tried to copy her dad & put her hand (s) on her heart during the pledge of allegiance.

She's the most enthusiastic cheerleader!

"Bwothas" "Judah & Cuckoo play bayball Mama!!" (yes, Viviana calls Quinn Cuckoo)

The serious player here.....

Quinn trying to be equally serious....

They got some really good hits!

Little buddy Reece jumped in the picture with us.

Mimi & Papa took Judah out for his date day after the game & he felt SO special!

My handsome little dude.

Look at that little cutie! He's so excited to be like Judah & that they're on the same team!

Although Quinn had gone out on a special date with my parents a few weeks prior, he kept asking if he got to do something special with us. So we went to a car wash.  He was beside himself with excitement, but Vivi (this was her first car wash) was so torn. She couldn't tell if she was having fun, was terrified or deeply concerned for our car.

I'm 99% finished with Viviana's big girl room.  Guillermo rehung all of her pictures to fit better with her new arrangement & put up the new cabinet the Quinton's gave us.

I am so in love with the vintage iron daybed we found on CL (Have I already mentioned, I got it for $35!!!) Anyways, it'll look better when we can turn the bed the right way, until then those are her guard rails. :)

The only thing I have yet to buy is a duvet cover...... it has to be the perfect one to fit perfectly with the mix of patterns/colors in the room....

The precious "God bless Viviana" pillow & fleece twin size blanket Viv's Bisabuela (great grandma) made her!

My one sadness about moving straight from the crib to a twin bed (instead of a toddler bed) is that we couldn't use Vivi's crib quilt anymore.  Thankfully it fits perfectly on the end of the bed!

This has always been on her walls, but I wanted to take a closeup picture for posterity's sake.

The hat/diaper cover is from our dear friends, and what she wore in her baby pictures.  The pink dress was Carla's baby dress (G's sister)....

And this christening gown was my Grandpa's gown.  I was so terrified of it getting ruined I never even put her in it, afraid she'd barf all over it. Now I regret that. :(

Now all of the things Vivi loved to dig in (while on her dresser) are up in the cabinet, how perfect!

This weekend I also exchanged the boys pants for their shorts & it feels more & more like summer! Woot woot! Exciting!!
