A Tale of Two Boys & Their Trampoline...

The boys are obsessed with their new trampoline that they paid for with their own money (see previous post).
Not only do I believe everyone needs to work hard, but ESPECIALLY boys. I think that's how they'll make awesome manly men someday.
The kids did have a smaller trampoline that I think Santa brought 2 years ago, but the net kept breaking so they couldn't use it in over a year!
The boys are in love. This mama is in love. And they are so beyond proud of themselves that they bought this and we keep reiterating over & over that had they not worked so hard they couldn't have gotten such a big reward!
Plus, anything that works them out & tires them out is amazing.

I just couldn't get over the beautiful sun streaming down before it started to set.....

Oh, how I love the outdoors, when it's still cool, I'm 4 feet off the ground & the sun is starting to set... :)

He was telling me about our church lesson about how God always listens to us.....

He was telling me about the boo boo on his finger.....
The sun was AMAZING in these pictures....

Spring Cleaning, err'thang.

Our house has gone under a MAJOR PURGE because I decided since Guillermo was helping my mom with her garage sale that I would put stuff in the garage sale too.
Then stuff became LOTS OF STUFF. Including the large majority of my baby items.
I think I got rid of half of my closet. Ahhhhh. I love it.
But I'm also depressed cause I officially got rid of all the clothes I don't fit in, and of course giving away/selling baby stuff is just a momentary sadness.....
But one of the best feelings of spring cleaning was outside.  We never spend money on outside because we have way too many expenses inside.  We used our garage sale money to buy mulch & with that we cleaned up the yard.
This is the in progress picture. G was trying so hard to prune our massively tall palm trees. What a chore!

I'm not sure if you can appreciate that stack, but it's about six feet tall!

There is something so beautiful about fresh simple easy to maintain landscaping! :) My sister & I agree, we'd be perfectly happy with AstroTurf!

My one beautiful surviving succulent had to be replanted. I hope it continues to bloom!

Because the kids worked SO HARD with us they got ice cream.
I joked that it was Willie Nelson in the ice cream truck!

I always make sure the kids know that hard work pays off....

This one on the other hand was harder to convince to lend a hand.... (not that her lending a hand doesn't just create a bigger mess, Lol)

She literally is the queen of funny faces. All day long she's trying to get you to laugh and is constantly sticking her bootie out and making pooting noises. Only my daughter....

This kid works SO hard. And he's all about earning his allowance & deciding how to spend his savings!
He was saving his money for a cruise.  Then he changed his mind and wanted to take his daddy to a Steelers game in PA, then he told me he wanted to use his savings to buy his daddy a really nice set of drums. I love that kid.  So, I convinced them to put their money towards a trampoline on craigslist (their net kept breaking on the 7ft trampoline and a new net is $80 plus s/h, so a used trampoline is much cheaper).  So tonight Guillermo is picking up their new 14 foot trampoline from CL for $100, of which their savings is paying for $88! I am SO proud of them!! And happy that they can see in a very tangible way what a lot of hard work & savings can buy!

I love productive weekends, but of the entire weekend, this stuff is my favorite! Snuggles & lovin from the cutie pies.

The armpit of the south & our crew of ninjas......

I was very blessed to have work training that the family was able to tag along to the "armpit of the south" (as per my husband, the die-hard Clemson fan, Columbia isn't all that bad).
The kids & G had a REAL vacay while I was at work!
Have you been to Edventure? Best kids museum we've been to. They loved playing in Eddie (the giant boy) the best.

I'm definitely going to make sure all of my kids know how to change a tire... what a brilliant idea!
Fire Marshall Viviana!

No trip to Columbia is complete until you've gone to the mall with the merry-go-round!

Quinn said that even though we were in "Gamecock town" he was still a Clemson fan! (and proof in his coloring picture)

Double score, we went to an amazing thrift store one night and in the same parking lot was a Krispy Kreme! That pretty much sums up Heaven for me....

Of course Big Baby got to enjoy all aspects of our trip as we creeped people all over the south with her presence during the trip....

And we got to spend the weekend in Atlanta with my sisters & their families!!
We got to go to one of our favorite restaurants, it's Persian with a BUFFET! All the feta cheese, olives, handmade bread & skewered perfectly cooked meats you can eat.  My mouth is actually watering this as I type!

"Chief" "Chiefzilla" "Zilla" even joined us... our world traveling friend Ryan was in town & we got to hang with him, that was awesome.

We LOVE to be with our family!!

So every time we're together, our kids are subjected to one obnoxious photography project......
But I savor these moments & pictures so much.
Our crew of ninjas are 7, 6, 5, 4 & 2.

We got to see Rebecca's beautiful new house! And take more family photos before we departed for Charleston. Boo hoo.

These are the precious moments you never want to end....
