Guillermo took this video last night and I wanted to post this video so all of our out of state family could see Viviana. Everyday she becomes more of a little clown! And sorry it's sideways, Guillermo recorded it this way because she was laying down....

So here are some of the non-trip related things we've been up to...
Rain, rain, go away!
Vivi learned how to blow her nose, which I thought was so awesome, until today, before work when she grabbed my shirt and blew her nose on it and I had to change.
I had to post this pic for posterity's sake. Quinn fell out of the bed last week and he didn't even cry, we gave him hugs & put him back to bed. He woke up some time later crying that he had peed over the whole bed. Turned out he had quite a head wound and had blood all over the bed. It was like a murder scene. Looking at his bloody head made me want to pass out. Thank God for "nursing types" husbands. :) Thank God he's ALRIGHT!
And the next morning Viviana learned how to get out of her crib and fell out of it!
Guillermo said he was going to punch Judah in the face just to "get it over with".... JUST KIDDING for those of you who don't know we just have a warped sense of humor. (and thank God Judah didn't have some major catasrophe like his siblings)
Doesn't this picture make Viviana look like she's break dancing? Work it girl.
In case you didn't know, BoJangles started selling little turkeys, mmmm....looks delicious!
A lot of cool peeps have their birthdays in February, including Luke, my father in law Jose, Gavin, Angela & Paul, Happy Birthday guys!!!!! We love you!
I'm sooooo excited to announce Beth is having baby #4!!!!
I"m requesting a girl, so Viviana will have a little bestie, just like the boys have the VanHouten boys. :)
The boys have had the best time with Dr Seuss week! It's CRAZY hair day!
(Dr Seuss didn't realize a mullet was actually waay more crazy than purple feathers)
Guess who got her piggies painted for the cruise!!!!
Awww. My heart skipped a beat!
So we'll be gone for 10 whole days on our trip!!! Woo hoo! I'll see you on the flip side! If I could interject a sound right now, it'd be a big ship horn. TOOT TOOT!

I stayed up until 2 o'clock in the morning Friday night planning & deciding
I NEEDED I wanted to change up the kids rooms. It took everything in me to not sneak in the kids rooms and start measuring out spaces and moving furniture. I was on a mission! First of all Judah & Quinn's toy clutter was making me crazy (an overall lack of space in my house makes me sort of crazy) and Viviana's lack of toy storage was making me crazy. I am in the constant state of de-clutterizing my house. I am constantly battling hoarder tendencies. I'll admit it. So I decided to switch it up a bit. Like musical chairs but with EVERY piece of furniture in the kids rooms. You move it round & round & round until it fits (much to your sweet husbands irritation). Although, I do have to say, this type of event always results in a big PURGE for Goodwill. (Yay). And some things get put in the attic for a rest so when we bring them back down the kids feel like they're new toys!
This is what we started with. Clutter, right?
My helpful, strong boys!
And we were left with BOOKS explosion since part of the plan was to temporarily move the bookcase into Viviana's room for toy storage.
And we have a LOT of books. I think kids should have a lot of things to read, and because I rarely spend more than $.25-$.50 on a book (thrift stores/garage sales), and the kids have been given wonderful books as gifts over the years. And you can see, some of my thrift store finds have been loved by MANY children. This one makes me laugh that people kept on marking out the previous names.
See, organization makes Vivi happy too. From the overwhelming book flood to a clean floor to play on.
Now, I love the Pottery Barn/Land of Nod book shelves, but I am on more of a thrift store budget rather than a Pottery Barn budget I decided to hunt all over Home Depot for ideas. Finally I decided to cut a 6 foot storage rack into 2 parts and cut two of the close together shelves off (the nice guy at Home Depot did it all for me). And the guy who always helps with my wild schemes put them up asap!
Excellent!! Those shelves stored approximately 60 books!
And the next day every pain & ache & effort was worth it! I love walking and playing in the kids room again. Woosah.
Now this girl is a trouble maker. She's MOST happy when she is knocking a lamp off the table.
Knocking an antique iron bookshelf to the floor.
Getting stuck in the boys bunk bed ladder.
I smell trouble!!!
And I finally got around to hanging the pom poms I made for her birthday in her room!
Now this bookcase is just temporary, this will be my new HUNT on Craigslist/thrift stores/etc....this is exactly what I want to find....
I love a good bargain hunt (although this one will be hard to find I'm sure).....
Now Valentine's Day was deliciously sweet and a GORGEOUS sunset to boot!
We had a MEAT FEST at Moose's BBQ with my favorite Charleston Valentine's!
Special shout out to my sweet valentine, Guillermo. Thank you for putting up with my shenanigans! :)

These boys. These boys make me swoon. These boys make me crazy. These boys make my heart melt. These boys make me exhausted. But most of all I am thankful that they have each other.
Judah is very proud of his new skill to whistle.
So of course Quinn has to whistle too.
But I guess his whistler is broken.
It's non-stop secrets, and no doubt half of all the secrets are potty talk, like "then the storm trooper fell into the toilet and he was a toilet head"....
One moment they are best friends. The next they are ready to destroy each other. But in the end it's always love.
While Judah wrote out Valentine's for his class, Quinn wrote "Q" on 7 valentines cards and said four of them were for Judah.
I'll never forget the look they gave each other when I brought home "Bunny" (as Judah named him) from the hospital and Judah knew that this little guy was his best friend. We talked to Judah about it for 9 months, but I think he just knew it was his BFF.
And then Judah wanted "Bunny to go bye bye"... :)
But then Bunny started to grow & be fun!
And Judah realized he had a little minion to boss around! And to torture!
And another WILD boy to play with!
And someone to lead the way....
And someone to protect...
And someone to make everything, and I mean EVERYthing into a competition with....
No matter how many times they make each other cry, a 1,000 more times they make each other laugh
There is nothing more precious than your brother.
And sister too!! We can't leave her out. She is cautiously, very, very slowly walking at her own pace. I guess one outta 3 that's NOT a risk taker is good for my blood pressure.
This weekend ended up with some fun spontaneous events. We got to go to "Papa's" McDonalds (the big one by their house) after church and a kid-less trip to the flea market where I found a $20 record player! Woot woot!
Viviana, although not a risk taker, was pretty excited to climb as far as her little moccasins would take her up that slide!
And the not so awesome, my dear, sweet husband was trying to be helpful and put the duvet cover & sheets in the wash with two red table clothes. Two emergency trips to the store to buy every googled-sure fire way to take out red dye and no luck... sigh ..... hope he likes pink feathers & pink pillow cases. :(
