The armless bandit, the Vivi update & mama paparazzi

Ok, so my Mom is not arm-less, but her arm will be out of commission for awhile. :( Poor girl had a terrible "freak" accident when she tripped at work and broke her whole elbow and both bones in her arm a little more than 2 weeks ago. She was in the hospital for 3 days and will have to go to occupational therapy for 8 weeks! So both of my sisters (and fam) came down to help take care of her..

It was also a plus to see them in September because September & October are BIRTHDAY months for my family: the Sherman/Nizam/Vicens family.  It starts with my birthday, then it's Devon's birthday, then it's Julie and Carla's birthday, then it's Rebecca's birthday all within 3 weeks! Phew! And EVERY single one of them is AWESOME and life wouldn't be the same without you!! Love you lots!!
Our special treat to see our family! Cousins!!
And storytime by Papa!
Still warm enough for sprinklers (MAJOR sad face. Fall, where are you? *tear*)
My little athlete
Proud Auntie! No one spoils Via like Auntie Julie!
I can't tell you how much we LOVE when family visits! Craziness & laughs all around!

This is my *I will smile so big, my baby will also smile face*  LOL
And Rebecca & Will came down the following weekend!
Will always lets the boys play on his iPad,iPhone and climb on him like a jungle gym. God bless you (and your back) Uncle Will.
I think holding Vivian is my Dad's favorite pastime.

And yes, she has a different name from everyone: Viviana, Vivi, Vivi NaNa,  Via, Vivian, Viv, Nonny. And my personal favorite right now: Sugee Pum Pums (an insane version of sugar plum). sorry my sweet dear.

Here is the 8th month update!
She loves to do big girl stuff like sit in carts & high chairs at restaurants!
She loves her toys, but still loves to jump in the bounceroo the best....
She's still the best baby around!

Can barely fit in the kitchen sink anymore.

She's starting to crawl!

And I think it might be time to dop her 3rd nap??

And still no teefers!! But LOTS of teething. Poor little angel.

So I wanted to get some fall photos.... and it went a little somethin' like this:
Quinn: Mama, I think I'm going to eat slimy the worm
Quinn: Mama, I NEED to take my hat OFF.
Me: No, if you keep it on and take good pictures I'll let you pick out a peice of candy (I succomb to bribing to get good pictures. I'll admit it..)

Quinn: And my candy will smell like stinky slimy the worm.

Oh. Boys. At least he's not saying stinky butts (anymore).
Me:  Judah, hey ya know what I think would be fun? To grab up a bunch of grass in your hands and throw it in the air, what do you think?
Judah: YESSSSSSS!!!!!
(Me with a giant rats nest of messy nap-hair with 14lbs of grass clippings now.)

And baby girl is wondering how 14 lbs of grass clippings would taste in her mouth!

And the moving background will not stop.....
And then TADA. Smile, looking at camera. Paparazzi time is over!

But I want the Camo & Christmas Lights Background!

I totally bought the Sears Portraits Groupon on a whim. It was too good of a deal to pass up I thought, like $300 of pictures/session for $30 or something.... so anyways, I had VERY LOW expectations (sorry Sears) and thought we'd get something worthy of

Something like this......

But we didn't! I though they turned out great! And we can finally replace some of our family pictures in the living room gallery wall with current ones, and Viviana will finally have a framed picture in our house (that only took 7 months.... is that bad)???  Poor third child...
My big gangsta boys!

My little china doll......

YAY Sears! And don't miss out, JC Penny is doing a $6 sitting fee for the month of September and only $4 per photo sheet after that if you want to get cheap portraits.......

Hair Cut and Ya Know What?

I think this is the first time in 10 years I've gotten my hair cut and said "keep it long"..... wonders never cease.
It's always a plus to go to dinner with awesome friends who you trust to take care of your kids.......
.....when your husband's hamburger will most likely land him in the hospital!!!
So after about a few months of babababababa and lalalalalala, baby girl decided to say DADA in the car on Sunday........ sigh.......
Oh well, at least this guy said Mama first. The other two said Dada first......
Viviana is always making the most awesome expressions. I imagine her saying something like this:
"Oh Mah Gawwww, did you KNOW what I did the other day?"
"I went to a Trekkie convention!!!"
"I KNOW!!! Crazy RIGHT!!"
Daddy's little Steelers! Here's my deal. I pretty much hate sports. I can barely pay attention to watch even one game of football on TV, but I try really hard since my husband's whole life revolves around sports, and his favorite is football. But the one thing I CAN do is dress my kids up in the gear to make him happy.
And nothing makes Guillermo happier than seeing his little bebe in her Steelers tutu dress.....
And I *almost* looked like I belonged with the family this time! (unlike when they're all wearing purple and orange and I stick out like the oddball in my all black).....

Burnt Food, Happy Tiger Fans and a Little Bit of Tommy Boy!

Can I say something and it not sound like bragging (cause it turns out it's not always a good thing)? I am an extremely efficient person. So much so that it verges on OCD. I am constantly thinking about our next move and in what order I can do things to get everything done and move as fast as I can to get it all done. So much so, that I find it hard to enjoy life in the moment, because I'm thinking about what needs to be done next and it hangs over my head like a weight. So all in all, not an awesome trait as a parent trying to live in each moment, especially with young kids in the house when you see them playing and all you can think about is who will clean and what time the cleanup should start to get it done in time to coincide with  dinner/bath/devotions/etc..... ANYways, last weekend all three kids happen to be sleeping at the same time and Guillermo was outside doing the yard, so like a maniac, I ran around my house cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, picking up, doing laundry...... I looked at my clean and picked up living room and felt HAPPY...
so I thought, as soon as the boys wake up, I'll change their sheets WHILE I'm making dinner!! Score for efficient-ness!
As I'm making their beds- wishing that somehow little boys could make their bunk beds look this nice everyday, I smelled something burning. YIKES!!!!! Dinner!!
Dang it. Seriously, you cannot be efficient while cooking dinner. Apparently you cannot leave the peppers and onions to cook themselves while you go and spend ten minutes putting duvet covers on comforters and making bunk beds look pretty. Reason number #114 I cannot stand to cook. Who has time to stand in front of the stove? Lol.
Look who is obsessed with their feet! Especially when they have shoes on?
I AM!!
Since going to school Judah has become even more protective and kind to Quinn & Viviana, since he's the very "big boy" of the house.
Do you think Vivi is channeling Chris Farley here??

Yep. Straight up Tommy Boy.
And I had an unexpected day off last week and Beth & crew came over! I can't believe how big Viviana and Levi are getting, Levi will be 1 year this month!
And of course we had our first TIGER WIN this Saturday! Woot woot. Go Clemson! We had a orange party, with orange push-up pops and everything.
Everyone got in the orange & purple action!

Have a GREAT labor day! Hopefully you're enjoying Not doing any labor today. :)
