Our precious little Viviana Laine Soler was born on January 26, 2012 at 10:19PM.
She was 8lbs and 6 oz and 20 inches long.
It was the most rollercoaster labor of my life..... but worth every second of it!
Welcome to the world my precious little angel!!
Although I was induced, I started laboring on the way to the hospital. After getting pitocin and my water broken, I waited in numbed (epidural) bliss!
After a loooong day, it turned out Viviana was (forgot the medical term) but forehead up (head facing up, instead of down) and she couldn't get past ther cervix... so I had my first C-section (I was so scared, but during the actual procedure God gave me such a peace)..
Here is my faithful, amazing, encouraging, praying labor team! Elizabeth, Julie, Dad & Mom, what would I do wtihout you?? I love you guys!
Of course that teams includes my wonderful hubby, the best Dad ever, the man that was born to be a father to a baby girl!
And her adoring Auntie Julie who always takes my babies first amazing pictures (hopefully to come soon)!
Vivi's amazing, best older brothers who were simply in awe of her (for a few minutes, then they wanted to dig into the big bag of candy they brought with my parents- Lol)!
My sweet kids. My heart melts!
We had so many loving visitors, I'm so sorry if I forgot to take your picture! We were so blessed by your visit & love & prayers & sweet flowers & balloons!
My dear friend Gale
My amazing sis, Julie
Viviana's "second mama", sweet Evelina
Viviana's awesome Mimi & Papa- with their first Grandaughter!
Look at those three angels. Does it get any better?
Judah was soooo much more into being a big brother than I expected him to, since he's not been into babies like Quinn has been. Judah is about to burst with pride. The boys are going to be her little protectors!
The best, loving Mimi
Sweet Tio & Miss Kat
So much love!
My dear friend, Auntie Beth
The best, most helpful Daddy!
Viviana's Godparents- awesome Uncle Will & Aunt Rebecca
We got home last night, the boys couldn't get enough of Viviana!
Viviana has been amazing! We're working thru the normal nursing stuff, but so far she has been the best sleeper, the best disposition, so calm and feminine right from the start! She sleeps sooo well, which I pray continues! My heart is so full.
It's so true. When you have more kids, love isn't divided, love multiplies. I couldn't have more love for my sweet little amazing girl who was that missing puzzle peice from our family. We are so blessed!
Thank you for all of your prayers & loving words!

I cannot believe that it's finally here.... I wonder if we'll get any sleep tonight!
What do you do when you are 39 weeks pregnant and you have a lovely little wait (I finally started my maternity leave on Friday)?
You go vote in the GOP primary and take one last picture of your baby bump (I personally will miss my hard stomach, the only three times in my adult life I've had a rock hard stomach. Lol)
You walk & walk around downtown with your peeps!
You walk and walk around parks & learn to skip stones.
You thannk the Lord that your sweet husband did not make you caramel & chocolate pears EVERY night of your pregnany (or else I would've gained 100 lbs this pregnancy instead of only 16! I gained 50 lbs with each of the boys, so it was a GOD miracle that I gained so little this go round. Maybe having all that estrogen in me helped me?)
You take your precious little boys out on dates and tell them 84 times how special they are and how they will always be your sweet little baby and they will be the best big brother. (my favorite date with Quinn is to the SPCA, I think he's the "animal whisperer" Lol).
You all lay hands on your precious baby sister & pray that God blesses her and helps her come into this world healthy & safely!
Please pray for us tomorrow as little Viviana comes into this world. We are already head over heels in love with calm, sweet, precious baby girl and we thank God for our little blessing!

I could've cried today when the Dr told me I was at 3 cm! So now, for sure, I will have a baby between now and my induction date of next thursday, January 26th! Both boys were a week late and I went thru the same stress with them, I wasn't sure when to stop working (and of course going to work when you're 40 weeks pregnant is like torture) because I didn't want to waste my precious time off without a baby here! So God has blessed me today to know I can stop working as of tomorrow and not "waste" more than 3 days off at most without a baby here!
God is GOOD! Thank you for your prayers & well wishes!
So what do you do when you're waiting patiently for a baby? (other than lay on your couch and veg as much as possible, especially when everytime you stand up you have shooting pains and contractions until you sit back down again)??
You go on an amazing date day with your hubby, go thrifting, eat great korean food from a stinky Asain market cafeteria and get a pedicure of course!
This is Guillermo's first pedicure and he LOVED it. He convinced himself it was "ok" to get a pedicure since "All the NFL guys get pedicures too"... LOL... C'mon, who doesn't like getting their feet rubbed. If he were getting red nail polish and wearing peep toe heels, it'd be another thing.. ;)
When you finally have a spurt of energy at 630pm, you head out to the park. I had to post this awesome sky! Guillermo told me "when God wants to make the sky REALLY special, He paints it Clemson colors (orange/purple)".... so now everytime I see a beautiful sunset I think of that silly saying...
That sky is just amazing.. and Quinn is finally tall enough to do the "super man" by himself on the swing.. my big boys!
I had to post this, this is the difference between when I ask Judah to sit on the slide and smile for me to take a picture and Quinn.....
It's like he's being tortured!!
So you get a brother to "hug" him for a second and snap a quick picture! :)
Maybe my next post will be with a new little bebe girl!

I was given a shower by three of my sweetest, most wonderful friends. I was so blessed by them and I am SO thankful they are in my life!
Gale, Beth & Elizabeth, I love you girls!!
The spread was my dream meal. Lots of delicious "party" food to graze on, including lots of cheese and crackers. If only this could be at my house EVERYday!!
I only got a few pictures on my camera, but here you can see the 9 month bump in all it's glory, and Mrs. Judson & Masie!
I am overwhelmed by the goodness, love & generosity that have been poured out on my family & Viviana over the past 9 months. People have given Vivian the most beautiful clothes, boxes & bags full and other wonderful baby items and just amazing gifts at the shower... I am SO blessed by all of you. I just stand in her room and I am in awe of the love you have shown us for this little baby.
Some of the precious goodies from her shower.....
And from friends & family....
I can't believe all of the amazing handmade items Vivivana's Bisabuela (Guillermo's Grandma) made for Viviana. Among the items she sent, she made herself 8 blankets (including a twin sized fleece blanket), a gorgeous pillow that says "God bless Viviana" and a diaper organizer that hangs on the crib (all in her coordinating crib skirt fabric), burp cloths and hooded towels. I can't even imagine how much time & effort all of this sewing/crocheting must've taken but I will especially cherish these precious items, they mean so much!
Can you see all the beautiful edging on the blankets and burp cloths?
The nursery! Finally in it's full FINISHED glory! (sorry for the abundance of pictures, but I've promised several people I'd post lots of pics, since I've talked about the nursery for so long and it's finally all together).
The inspiration board that started it all:
A few minor things changed..... but overall, this board helped me stay organized while we found all the different components to the room.
This picture was before I got the crib skirt... but I have to tell you about some of the deals we found here. The bookcase & dresser we found for CHEAP on Craigslist (I heart CL) and Guillermo painted (God bless him, I think he's spent about a month straight painting everything). My sister found the curtains from a thrift store! The rug (s) are 2- 3x5 from Garden Ridge that we gorilla taped together and you'd barely be able to tell they're two rugs for about 1/4 the cost of a big rug.
I had a shabby chic theme in my room in college, and saved all the decor which most of it is being reused in Viviana's room (the chandelier, the pictures, the lamp).....
Guillermo painted the stripes on the canvas and the letters on the painting are actually yellow glitter card stock for scrapbooking. I figure they'd be brighter than actually painting..
And I KNOW the big green mobile is a huge eye sore in this pretty feminine room, but it's like baby crack. That wonderful mobile gets mama a shower, makeup & my hair done while the baby stares like they're hypnotized while it flutters & spins.... so it stays. ;)
My amazing crib skirt made by Abuela. And I should mention, my dear, sweet husband spent hours/days painting this crib from light oak color to light yellow. I love that man.
The perfect quilt I found on Etsy and the gorgeous blanket made by Shelly for Viviana (can you see that the flowers actually make a skull face? Is that my perfect baby blanket or what?! Love it!)
The world's most perfect diaper stacker/organizer made by Abuela.
And the new pillow made by Abuela.
The $40 dresser I found after weeks or even months of searching on CL (painted by my hubby) and knobs from World Market.
These amazing dresses were given to me, the top left is a dress from my mother in law and the bottom right was my Grandpa's christening gown, and the gown my Dad and I wore for our baptism! It is over 100 years old!
The antique doll was mine growing up, the bird on the book - bookends were my Dad's growing up and can you believe I found that Paddington Bear in mint condition at the junkiest thrift store about 5 years ago?
If you've been to my house in the past 6 months, you know that I've had several cream colored paint samples taped to my walls. My sister heard I wanted to repaint the living room from the carmel color to a cream color and offered me 5 gallons of cream paint she never used for her house.. so we finally got the paint over the holiday and Guillermo spent part of his holiday painting the living room and hall! It's a total change from 6 years of the darker color, but I love it!
And my new drapes I got for Christmas!
I searched for at least 2 months straight for perfect drapes and finally found some at World Market!
And last but not least, we celebrated Three Kings Day (the "day the wisemen got to Jesus with their gifts", it's a holiday typically celebrated by hispanic cultures, and celebrated by Guillermo and his family and a tradition we'll carry on).......
The hard part was to convince the boys that although they got lots of m&ms as a gift, they were not allowed to eat them all that day!
The boys favorite Christmas song is the Chipmunk song and I may be regretting buying this Alvin who sings the Chipmunk song. I think I've heard it about 88 times in the past few days.
And the best game, Hungry Hungry Hippos... we LOVE the gift of games in our house.. and it's so awesome that both boys are at the age where they can start playing games with us!
