October rocks. What a great month. I normally hate a ton of plans, because it stresses me out and makes me think I'll miss out on quality time with the kids, but October plans, I L.O.V.E.
Halloween and fall parties. Love em. And dressing up. Ask ya mama- I looove to dress up and love to dress my kids up.
We were the red neck family.

Tio was a werewolf, thankfully he took his mask off so Quinn & Judah knew not to be afraid of the big bad wolf.

Now THIS is redneck, Highlife & sippy cups. Yeedawg. John was a rescued Chilean miner.

Judah's unbrushed green teefus!

Justin was the color purple.

Masie, the good witch.

Ryan was Donnie Darko

And then for Halloween.... we took the kids to a neighborhood I had to patrol for 2 years on a row. It's straight out of an Americana storybook of the perfect place to trick or treat and the kids got TONS of the best candy. (I need to hide it from myself). I always said I'd take my future kids there when they were old enough and so tonight was the boys first time at trick or treating.. which they loved.

Guess who they were?

Excellent! Shwinnnngggggg!

Here we were trying to recreate the scene of them in the car singing/listening to Bohemian Rhapsody and the darn Queen's Greatest Hits cd I have doesn't have that song! Can you believe it. I couldn't find the rest of my cds, so this song will have to do.

Judah: No Way!   Quinn: Way!

I was supposed to be the crazy dude in their back seat, with the crazy hair... but I don't think anyone got it and I just looked like I had insane hair.. (it looked like a rat's nest on the side, which you can't see in this picture).
They look a little creeped out in this picture....

One house had this teenage boy that sat under a white sheet and when the (older) kids got candy he'd scream at them, well he was just making funny noises for Judah & Quinn (to not scare them too bad).. Quinn kept saying "no ghost" yelling at him and both were stunned. Look at Judah's face! (and Quinn's face two pictures below- crazy blogger)

Twins! (watching the Steelers game)

Judah was so proud that he could rock on with his hand like Wayne's, he rode the whole ride from north charleston to downtown with his hand like this!

This is the look of what the heck!

And of course, no october would be complete without the FAIR!
The fair is the Quinton and our food marathon, it takes months of training to eat that much fried food let me tell you....

Judah of course wanted to play every single game... (and of course that wasn't possible).. it was like the tragedy of all tragedies for a 3 year old!

This was Quinn's one and only ride, since he was too small for the majority of the rides, but he was in HEAVEN.  He was talking about train all the way home.

You know you had a good day when you're smiling and half asleep!

Judah is sooo much like me, absolutely fearless when it comes to rides, the higher and scarier, the more he smiled and loved it! I never thought I'd get to a point in my life that watching another person riding all the rides and being the mama waiting on the sidelines would be as much fun as riding the rides..... now I know how my parents felt as they stood by for hours and watched us girls ride every ride known to man!
YAY October! See ya next year!

Even though it's still 89 degrees, we'll pretend it's fall!

So maybe it's not technically 89 degrees everyday, but it's TOO freaking hot for me! I want brisk cool air, the smell of AUTUMN in the air, sweaters, tights, fires, endless blue skies, cider mills, apple orchards, fresh donuts- only like they can make them at a cider mill..... if you've ever spent a fall in Michigan - you know what I'm sayin'...... so to try and create fall despite the weather- we've done just about every fall thing you can do!

My little pumpkins holding their pumpkins....

Judah went from calling his homie Jackson "my best friend" and now it's his "brother, Jackson".. I'm not sure if he means that in a blood relation or a Amish way, or in the brotha way? Either way, it's his buddy.

Wannamaker park staff that decided to make a huge steal drum to throw rocks, genuis sir, pure genius.

And back home for jack-o-lantern cookies!

Guillermo & I both went to Wando. Every year we make it to at least one game. I barely watch the field, I'm usually the fat kid dork whose sitting there wondering: 1. What time it is and if it's time to go get concession food.  2. How many trumpet and flugelhorn players there are.  3. If I am doing my tomahawk chop too fast.  4. Why all the high school kids look like middle schoolers and did I look (and sound and act) that young when I was at Wando. 4. And think, can I make a run for food and make it back to hear the band in time.

Ok, ok, Guillermo and I are both huge band dorks, BUT band was one of the best times of my life. There is nothing like the feeling of being a small cog in a huge wheel doing something amazing like create awesome music. But I digress, Wando band is now AWESOME & HUGE. They won 5 state championships in a row. Go Warriors (I guess the football players too). ;)

Yay blue airheads.

Unlike his mama, Judah kept saying, "I don't like the band, I like the football"

I had to post this pic, don't they look like the burn out kids who were caught smoking behind the school!

I'm really loving my City of Hanahan (where I work, not live), they have SO much City pride. They have tons of festivals and events. We went to their fall festival, which had an awesome hayride to this part of the complex. For those of you who do not know- this is the Goose Creek Resevoir. They estimate there are between 350 and 550 alligators in this body of water. And one of my good friends goes fishing in there on a regular basis! What!

See, now this is my kind of fishing......

For my family's annual pumpkin carving night, my Mom pulled out her amazing costume collection for the boys....

It's Lukie the kidd...

It's Captain Judah Sparrow

Pumpkin surgery: Nurse, scapel!

Poor little Jackson was sick that night, but we were so happy Aunt Beth & Luke could come!

More pumpkin surgery. That one was getting a face lift...

It's Quinn the old salt....

Say hello to my little friends!

Birthdays, a Giant Boy & the Haunted Forest

It's super exciting that Guillermo's cousin and her family moved to Cola town, so we went and celebrated her son, G's 2nd cousin, Christian's 2nd birthday. Look at this awesome cake that they made!! Talent!

The party was at Edventure, it's like Charleston's Children's Museum times 4. It's so huge & awesome. You can go inside this giant boy and see his different body parts. Every fifteen minutes, he passed gas and if you were standing on the stair case it'd literally blow you down the stairs. (well maybe I just imagined that)

Judah and the birthday boy! Look at that little cutie Christian!

Judah is not sure whether he loves the fireman's pole, or hates it.

Look ma! No hands!

Guillermo was so proud that in the grocery store, the boys made a bee line to the pretend meat.....

Now that's a big ol' boy.

Cousins! Look at how adorable Gabriella is putting her hand on Quinn's leg!

Cutest. Little. Girl.

We even got to see Guillermo's Abuela (Grandma), Titi Gloria (Aunt) and Titi Daisy (Aunt) and Tio Jorge (Uncle)

And Happy birthday to Rebecca, my sis!

And happy birthday Dante! We love you guys!
So have ya been to Gahagan park? It is so cool. It's like a fortress. I always think of Robinhood when I'm there. I bust out my Bryan Adams "Everything I do, I do it for you" and I yell "I'm Maid Marian" at the top of my lungs. Just kidding. But we did have fun despite not singing in public.....

Ok, tell me what you think. Most of you that read this blog know, I'm a born again Christian and I very much believe the spiritual realm is real and active.  But as far as things called "spirit orbs" I'm just not sure, sounds crazy and "new age" mumbo jumbo to me, but that is what the round things in this picture is called. They definitely don't scare me, cause I know my God is greater than anything else out there, but these things are in tons of pictures in my living room and look at all of them in this picture of the park! Crazy huh! Like I said, this doesn't scare me in the least bit, but do you think there is anything to it? Is it reflected dust or light particles?  What up wit dat?
