Bros!!

Somedays it feels like everything your toddler does is to be naughty, he touches the off limits items, he disobeys you about a hundred times, he starts to melt down a few times, then he is as sweet as a little angel and gives me & Quinn a bunch of kisses and I think, WHY can't you be like that ALL the time, well here are a few pics of him being sweet & sour....

Going in for the kiss.....
Yo homie.

It's cool if I stick my finger in his mouth right?

K, I'm over pictures with my bro....
And on one last note, I felt like a real fat kid tonight as I'm eating chips and salsa while holding Quinn, yep, I spilled salsa on him and my pillow. Awesome, and that reminds me of another fat kid moment I had the other day, I ate a swiss roll (little debbie) while taking a bath.. seriously, February starts a new eating/exercising regime for me, nursing/cravings or not..... So if any of you even see me walk past the little debbie isle, you'd better body slam me to the ground!!
I almost forgot to share, I am having poop marathons at my house, so if anyone wants to drop their kid with a poop diaper off at my house, feel free. I changed 5 poo-poo diapers in ten minutes the other day between both boys... I think that should get me a day at the spa...

Growing like a weed......

Quinn is eating like it's his job... I guess in a way it is??? Anyways, he's gaining a bunch of weight and is my little chunky monkey. It's amazing how in love you can be with someone you know only for such a short period of time!

Seasons of Life

You know the Bible verse and the Byrds song, Turn, Turn, Turn, that is so life right now, I wanted to post this so all of my peeps can also be praying for these pivotal events in my friends lives right now:

1. I have several pregnant friends and due to my post-partem brain, if I forget someone, I am soo sorry! But- here are their names and they each need special prayers during their pregnancies: Jackie Miller, Jessica Riley, Shelley Talbott, Lauren Cook and Brenda McBride. I am sooo excited for the sweet miracle in each of them and honestly cannot wait for more awesome moral/loving/Christian people to be born on this earth!

2. My best friend- Elizabeth Quinton is closing down her amazing baby boutique- Wonderland. It's been her dream forever to open a baby store and after 15 months it's closing doors... it's been a great run, I've love EVERY item I've gotten at Wonderland and am proud to know I was the FIRST person to buy something the day they opened and will be there on the last day at closing. I know God has a special plan for Elizabeth and her next stage in life.

3. My friend and Guillermo's coworker Joe Oglesby lost his brother last week to a heart attack. He was in his early 50's and he was Joe's best friend. I can't imagine losing a sibling!!!

4. My sister and my friend, Lindsey- Elizabeth's sister both got engaged in December and are planning awesome weddings which I'm SO excited about!!

5. My friend Lee and Jamie are putting their house on the market and starting the enormous and exciting adventure of building a house!

Thanks for your prayers!!

What I've learned about being a mama twice.....

Oh how life has changed, three years ago Dec 16th, we had our wedding reception at James Island County lights, a year later I was 4 months pregnant at the lights, and now here in 2008, 2 kids at the lights!!

Quinn and Grandpa

Ok, so it sounds so cheesy and cliche, but I am really just trying to savor each moment this time... I know how fast these three months of leave fly by and even more sad, I know how fast babies first year goes by... it really seems like yesterday that Judah was Quinns age... Anyways, these are some of the things I've come to appreciate even more this go round.......

1. To be thankful for a crying baby especially at night... even though it sucks to get up, that is that much more time you get to snuggle and spend with your bebe (without making your sweet toddler feel jealous either).....

2. Be thankful for a husband who helps with your kids ALL the time, especially at night, even when we have conversations that go like this at 4am Me: "why did you stop feeding him?" Gmo: "because he pushed the bottle out of his mouth" Me: "he's two weeks old, his arms are like windmills, he didn't mean to push it out of his mouth" Gmo: "ok, but i think he's done"

3. Be leery of too quiet moments, like two days ago when I was taking my thirty second shower and Judah was sooo quiet, found out the ONE non-baby proof item (my side pocket of diaper bag) had a tube of burgundy lip gloss in it, which Judah had opened and proceeded to paint the couch with.......

4. Instead of griping about all of my post labor pains, I'm just thankful I didn't tear all the way. Being afraid to poop isn't a daily activity I want to add to my list of things to do....

5. Instead of being frustrated that again nursing didn't quite work out for us, be thankful for the few drops of liquid gold that come out with each pumping session.... also, on a side note, Quinn has gained 25 ounces (over a lb and a half) in two weeks, Dr Vasko was shocked and said that since he's getting so big, so fast, we can cut down his feedings! Yay... so now we're pushing him to drinking every two hours at night, not one! And just so you know what a little hoss my lil man is, he drinks almost 48 ounces a day!!! Yikes.. can you imagine if I were only nursing?? Can you say Pam Anderson??

6. I LOVE naps and LOVE just holding Quinn or Judah.. with Judah I would be so anxious that while I was holding Judah I should/could be doing a whole bunch of other necessary stuff....like clean or get dinner ready.

7. Quick showers... they're awesome.. about the only way I save water nowadays, considering we're running the dishwasher and washer like we're training them for marathons!! But it does suck that twice I've left the shower with conditioner in my hair.. about five minutes of blowdrying hair that is still wet makes me finally realize that OPPS... I did it again.....

And last but not least, I am just so incredibly thankful for all of our blessings. I feel incredibly sucessful & "rich" because of what God has given to me with my amazing family...
