There are few things better than seeing your baby grow to a point where they can actually carry on conversations with you and let you know what is going on their head! It's so fun to have little conversations with Judah and man, does he come up with some doozies:
1. Jesus' car
We were driving down Dorchester Rd and I saw a big white cross in the lawn of a church. I pointed it out to Judah and said, look at that white thing. Do you know what it is? And he said he didn't know. I told him it was Jesus' cross! Right away, he points to the beat up old chevy next to us and says, Mama, that's Jesus' car! I was pretty confused why he said that until the car drove up past my window and I saw they had a cross sticker on the rear window!
2. Quinn's translator
I always ask Judah what Quinn says, just to hear his answer (of course, Quinn is usually saying mamamamama, bah bah bah bah, dadadadada, papapapapapa)... yesterday I asked him what Quinn said and Judah replied "Quinn said I love Judah". That's awesome, at least he didn't say "Quinn admitted he was the one that broke the toy box"....
3. Little Narc
Everyday I ask Judah what he did in school and if he was a good boy. One day he told me "I slapped Heyden". I thought, he must be saying that wrong, Heyden must've slapped him- certainly my child wasn't telling on himself?? So I said, Heyden must've slapped you! And I told him that he needs to tell Heyden to be nice and not hit. When I spoke to his teacher the next day, I asked her how he did the day before (since she was gone when I picked them up from daycare the day before and the other teacher hadn't been told how he had done that day) and she said he was very good, except out of the blue he slapped Heyden in the afternoon and went to the principal's office! What do you know.... I'll believe him from now on!
I was letting Judah color at the table while I made dinner. Since all was quiet I figured he was sitting there like a little angel coloring his picture. Next thing he runs up to me with the biggest smile on his face and says "Mama, I drew you picture on wall".. Sho 'nuff. And on our BRAND new kitchen paint. I burst out laughing, then I got on my knee and said very seriously, thank you very much for my drawing, but if you ever, EVER color on the wall again, you'll be in BIG trouble! Let's hope he gets the picture! And by the way, red crayon comes out really easily, but so far I can't figure out how to get the black off- any suggestions? We'll prob have to paint over it....
On a very fun and awesome note- my little snuggle bunnny took his first two unassisted steps this weekend! What a fun milestone- until I'm at the store alone with both boys and they're both on leashes so they don't run away!
