Visions of Sugar Plums Danced in their Head!!

Christmas Eve was sooooo much fun. I was waiting ....soooo excited to bring out all the gifts and put them under the tree! Christmas with kids is the best ever!! Even better than being a kid at Christmas!

Judah was so happy, he got to pick out cookies for Santa- good choice Judah, I'm sure Santa LOVED the Oreos!!! ;)

Judah was in train-car-skateboard heaven! Thanks especially to Judah's grandparents for some awesome train sets! :)
The next Tony Hawk???? Don't worry, we got him all the pads and helmets too!

The only year where the best gift is the paper! Now if we can just keep him from eating it!

Silly Santa's Little Helper!! You can see his "Shrek" teeth, as Guillermo calls it (Judah has them too). The cutest little Shrek teefus boys in the whole world!

Our Christmas was small and intimate, we celebrated at our house Christmas day and had Christmas dinner at my parents house. The next day, my sister and her husband- Rebecca & Will came and we all hung out at my parents house. Christmas morning has to be in the top 5- best days of my whole life. Seriously, there is nothing better than celebrating that with your kids (when they can finally start to understand Jesus' birthday, giving and getting presents, the idea that something special is going to happen, etc.). Judah did something very, VERY strange though. He was so speechless and excited when he finally got up Christmas morning, when he saw all the gifts, he picked the first one up that he saw, threw it on the ground and jumped on it! I was soooo shocked and mad, Guillermo was laughing as hard as he could- I told Judah if he was going to act like that, he was going to sit in his room!! He replied "Yes, Ma'am" with the most sincere voice in the whole world!! Silly boy! Also- for Christmas, Judah left Santa his nighttime sleeping pacifiers, with the cookies and milk- in exchange for presents. He's been doing well at night, takes a lot longer to go to sleep and every night since Christmas says "I want my bobo back, I don't want any presents" but other than that- doing great!!

My Christmas Presents from God....

It goes without saying that the reason for Christmas is the BEST gift to all of us, without HIM, not only would there be real no reason to celebrate anything, but basically life would suck. ANYways, my other special gift from God for Christmas is that it is COLD!!! No snow, but it's cool, chilly, frigid, sweater weather, C.O.L.D. here. And I LOVE it. Thank you God! And finally, the presents that are amazing EVERY day, not just Christmas, my sweet hubby and babies. Thank God for my family, my extended family and my amazing friends. I feel so blessed.

I hope this Christmas season, you have the gift of Christ and His salvation, first and foremost. I hope you have the gifts of Peace, Love & Joy, and all of God's blessings and promises in your life! I hope your Christmas is amazing and somehow the day goes by very slowly and you can enjoy all the blessings of Christmas. Merry Christmas! Love the Solers!

Quinny's Birthday Party, we had a BALL!

Quinn's first-ball/christmas themed birthday party was a blast. A nice, *family* event with lots of yummy food, laughs and Quinny had a great time. I've never seen a baby scarf down a cupcake so fast in all my life!!

Quinny in the ball pit! (aka baby pool filled with balls!)
Well, when I said "ate" a cupcake, I guess I should've specified, DEMOLISHED a cupcake, some of it went into his mouth!
Quinny with his Uncle James, Aunti E, Dante and Gavin
Tio & Kat (Quinn was over pictures, no reflection of how he feels towards Tio & "Ms Kat"!!)
Uncle David, Lukie & Jackson (Auntie Beth, not pictured, but thanks so much for coming out before work!!)
Mimi & Papa
The After party.
Gavin, is my hero for going Christmas caroling to empty houses with me when no one else would.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, we wish you a merry christmas!

2 Days of amazing!! Happy Anniversary Babe!

Elvis said it well....(ourfirst dance).......
Like a river flows surely to the sea

Darling so it goes

Some things are meant to be

Take my hand, take my whole life too
For I can't help falling in love with you!

Our wedding was such an amazing day! I just remember the butterflies, the good friends and family being so amazing, and I remember seeing Guillermo for the first time. It was breath taking, overwhelming feelings of love and happiness and I am sad I don't have a video to relive it again and again. I am so blessed to be married to the best person I have ever met in my entire life, not to mention the best friend I could ever have. It's amazing how you could love someone exponentially more and more every year and time and time again thru the years realize how life does not work without them. If this is how awesome the first four years are, I can't wait for more!!

My Baby is ONE!!!

To my sweet heart, angel man, Quinn. The moment I saw you I fell head over heels in love with you. I treasured each snuggly moment with you and prayed for time to slow down. You brother adores you and you are the sparkle in your Daddy's eye. The past two and a half years have been the best years of my life- I hope you & Judah always know how much Mama loves you. I love you Quinny, Happy Birthday!

Annual traditions, more fun than daily traditions, like blow drying your hair....

One of our favorite holiday traditions is the Judson's annual Christmas party! We love you guys!

What a difference a year makes!! Every year we visit the lights, like most families, but for us the lights are very special. We had our wedding reception in James Island County Park on December 16th. Every year, we try to go to the lights to celebrate that event and just have fun as a family. Every year we take a family picture in front of the same tree. I have one when I was pregnant with Judah, then last year with itty-bitty Quinn and then this year, with my two big boys! We are sooooo blessed, not a day goes by when I do not thank God for all of His blessings to us. And we are so blessed to have such amazing friends and family around us- so to those of you reading this, who are those friends and family- we are so blessed by you and I hope we tell you and show you how much we love you guys!

2009 VS 2008

Quinn's first ride on the merry go round! He just starred in amazement when the ride was going on!
After the amazement faded........ Judah was still going strong, with his "I don't wanna go home, I wanna see the reindeer....I wanna see the train... I wanna see more lights Mama!"... Judah gets so excited by the lights- it's so awesome. EVERY day I have to make a special trip to drive by this house in my neighborhood's lights and slow down for a couple of seconds so Judah can see the lights flash on a timer to a song. The person probably thinks they have a creepy stalker in a minivan, we seriously have stopped EVERY day since they've put the lights up! When we were at the park, Judah was shrieking at the top of his lungs at all the lights! "MAMA, A TRUMPET" "A SAILBOAT" "OOOOOOOOwl- Who WHOOOoooooooo"... definitely the magic of Christmas for a kid. I LOVE it.

Please Lord, help the children to know the Christmas tree is not a jungle gym.....

YaY!!!! My most favorite time of the year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No flu could keep me from decorating the house!  and we had Christmas elves helping this year too! Judah was sooo awesome helping put the ornaments up! He is totally afraid of the Mr. Monty, singing scrooge (to right of couch) and tells me once a day to please not play it, and also I found he's afraid of the small lit christmas tree I put in his room! He told me the next night to not turn it on because it was scary! Hmmmm?
You can see one of my all time favorite Christmas gifts, the Santa paintings my sister Rebecca painted for me last year! And the awesome Santa statue (with the lights to the left of the couch) was a wedding gift from my Aunt & Uncle, made by my Aunt Marge. I love those kinds of sentimental gifts! Makes Christmas even more special!

He knows when you are sleeping. He knows when you're awake. That worries me!

The best Tim Gunn line ever!!!! If you watched the Project Runway finale, and saw the Lifetime "Fa La La La La" commercial, you'll know what I'm talking about.

I won't get into the woe is me thing, but I had major flu AGAIN over thanksgiving holiday. The sad part is, because I was feeling like total Poo I couldn't eat anything on Thanksgiving day and worse I didn't take one single picture of my sweet family. I wanted to get pictures of the boys playing together especially. Both my sisters and their families came from ATL.

This is the first year there were NO tears with Santa! Judah was so excited to see him and told him he wanted a race car for Christmas!

Life according to Judah.....

There are few things better than seeing your baby grow to a point where they can actually carry on conversations with you and let you know what is going on their head! It's so fun to have little conversations with Judah and man, does he come up with some doozies:

1. Jesus' car
We were driving down Dorchester Rd and I saw a big white cross in the lawn of a church. I pointed it out to Judah and said, look at that white thing. Do you know what it is? And he said he didn't know. I told him it was Jesus' cross! Right away, he points to the beat up old chevy next to us and says, Mama, that's Jesus' car!  I was pretty confused why he said that until the car drove up past my window and I saw they had a cross sticker on the rear window!

2. Quinn's translator
I always ask Judah what Quinn says, just to hear his answer (of course, Quinn is usually saying mamamamama, bah bah bah bah, dadadadada, papapapapapa)... yesterday I asked him what Quinn said and Judah replied "Quinn said I love Judah". That's awesome, at least he didn't say "Quinn admitted he was the one that broke the toy box"....

3. Little Narc
Everyday I ask Judah what he did in school and if he was a good boy. One day he told me "I slapped Heyden".  I thought, he must be saying that wrong, Heyden must've slapped him- certainly my child wasn't telling on himself?? So I said, Heyden must've slapped you! And I told him that he needs to tell Heyden to be nice and not hit. When I spoke to his teacher the next day, I asked her how he did the day before (since she was gone when I picked them up from daycare the day before and the other teacher hadn't been told how he had done that day) and she said he was very good, except out of the blue he slapped Heyden in the afternoon and went to the principal's office! What do you know.... I'll believe him from now on!

4. "Art"
I was letting Judah color at the table while I made dinner. Since all was quiet I figured he was sitting there like a little angel coloring his picture. Next thing he runs up to me with the biggest smile on his face and says "Mama, I drew you picture on wall".. Sho 'nuff. And on our BRAND new kitchen paint. I burst out laughing, then I got on my knee and said very seriously, thank you very much for my drawing, but if you ever, EVER color on the wall again, you'll be in BIG trouble! Let's hope he gets the picture! And by the way, red crayon comes out really easily, but so far I can't figure out how to get the black off- any suggestions? We'll prob have to paint over it....

On a very fun and awesome note- my little snuggle bunnny took his first two unassisted steps this weekend! What a fun milestone- until I'm at the store alone with both boys and they're both on leashes so they don't run away!
